Live in Tigard & Tualatin, Oregon

Popular with many and growing every year, Tigard and Tualatin are both highly sought-after for their amenities, schools, and overall high quality of life. Tigard has a nice suburban vibe with a strong sense of community. People are friendly, and you'll often see neighbors chatting or kids playing outside. Tualatin has a similar suburban feel but is a bit quieter and more laid-back. It's known for being family-friendly with a tight-knit community vibe.

There's plenty to do in Tigard with lots of parks, like Cook Park, which is perfect for picnics, walking trails, and even kayaking on the Tualatin River. Washington Square Mall is nearby for all your shopping needs, and there are a bunch of local restaurants and cafes to explore. If you love nature, Tualatin is fantastic. The Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge is a great spot for bird watching and enjoying the outdoors. If you need to commute to Portland, both cities are super convenient. The WES Commuter Rail can get you there, and they're both close to major highways like I-5 and 217. You'll find a mix of housing options, from apartments and townhomes to single-family houses. It's generally more affordable than living in Portland but still has a bit of that city convenience. Both cities have upscale neighborhoods, well-maintained communities, and Tualatin has a more suburban and residential feeling that some parts of Tigard.

Both cities share the Tigard-Tualatin school district. The schools in Tigard are pretty good, with Tigard High School being well-regarded. There are also plenty of extracurricular activities and sports leagues for kids. A slightly smaller city, Tualatin's schools are highly rated, with Tualatin High School being known for its strong academic programs, sports teams, and extracurriculars.

Both cities offer a great balance of suburban living with easy access to the bigger city life of Portland. Whether you prefer the slightly busier atmosphere of Tigard or the quieter, more residential feel of Tualatin, you're bound to find a welcoming community and plenty to do.
