Port rules do not allow bathrooms, porta-potties, functional plumbing or sinks in boat houses. Self-contained toilets like incinerator toilets are ok. Amenities can also be provided on a boat in the boat house. Current lease runs through December 2026. Port of HR has given notice of non-renewal of leases, at which time boat houses would have to be removed. Boat house has new pontoons and was moved to the Hood River marina from The Dalles marina. There is an ongoing effort by owners to renegotiate renewal of the leases. Enjoy the summer on the water! 2023 annual morage fee was $3293.45, annual insurance is about $800, and property tax was $1405.00.
